We wish to thank all applicants for their interest in seeking employment with Pembina Trails School Division.  Applicants who will be considered for the substitute list will be contacted to arrange an interview.

Applications will be kept on file for the school year and will be used to supplement the casual list on an as-needed basis. All documents must be provided in order for an application to be considered complete.

SUBSTITUTE APPLICATION CHECKLIST

The following documents are required to complete your substitute application:
  1. Application form (to be completed in person at 181 Henlow Bay) and includes:
    • Pledge of Confidentiality
    • Completion of TD1 and TD1MB (required by Canada Revenue Agency).
    • Completion of CPT 30 and pension information (if applicable).

    Originals of the following are required and will be photocopied:

  2. Manitoba Education Teaching Certificate 
    • New graduates please indicate the name of the university you attended and the date of convocation.
    • New graduates must also provide confirmation of eligibility from Manitoba Education & Training

    1. Current Winnipeg Police Information Check (original or online form completed and shared with Pembina Trails School Division Teaching HR)

    2. Current Child Abuse Registry Check

    3. Social Insurance Number verification
      • SIN card OR
      • The header of a recent CRA tax assessment

      Also required:

    4. Banking information (handwritten banking information will not be accepted)
      • Void cheque OR
      • Bank document providing your account number, transit number and institution number

      1. Resume including previous employment

      2. Letter of reference from most recent teaching experience

      3. Names and contact information of three references

         

      Pursuant to Section 41 of the Public Schools Act, the Pembina Trails School Division has a duty to ensure that each pupil enrolled in one of its schools is provided with a safe and caring school environment that fosters and maintains respectful and responsible behaviours.  This information is being collected as part of Pembina Trails School Division’s duty.  Personnel files in Pembina Trails School Division are maintained according to Policy GBJ.

      By applying on-line, you are consenting that the Division may contact your current and previous supervisors.

      Should you be offered employment with Pembina Trails you will be required to:

      Only original or true verified copies of these checks are acceptable. All forms and checks must be completed as they are a condition of employment for all new employees.

      • Provide a signed Pledge of Confidentiality prior to employment commencing.
      • Verification of a valid social insurance number. You must provide an original of your Social Insurance Number card which will be photocopied OR a copy of a letter from Service Canada verifying your SIN.
      • Educational Assistants must produce a copy of their Grade 12 diploma or transcript of marks prior to employment commencing.

      By submitting your on-line application to us, you certify that all statements made in this application are correct and that you understand that the Pembina Trails School Division may conduct a personal investigation and you hereby give your consent in accordance with the Personal Investigation Act to such personal investigation being conducted by the Pembina Trails School Division in connection with this, your application for employment.
